PAYNTSHIELD Polyurethane Recoatable Finish is a two-component of coating that contains polyurethane resins that is to be used as topcoat in atmospheric environments. It is formulated to provide a highly durable gloss and colour retention topcoat finish, which also offers excellent operational performance including adhesion, abrasion, chemical and impact resistance when applied over suitable and properly primed surfaces.
Typical uses: Properly primed steel, wood and masonry surfaces.
Surface Preparation
Prior application of PAYNTSHIELD: -
New surface: Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of all loose, dirt, dust, oil stain and other contaminants before paint application. Surface affected by rust must be thoroughly cleaned and primed before finishing coat.
Painted surface: For a strong preceding coat, light sanding is recommended. Meanwhile for a weak preceding coat, total removal of the coat is highly recommended. Then surface must be thoroughly cleaned, dried and free of all loose, dirt, dust, oil stain and other contaminants before paint application.
Type of surface and its suitable primer: -
Steel surface primer: Heavy Duty Red Oxide Primer / Heavy Duty Zinc Phosphate Primer
Masonry surface primer: Heavy Duty MP Primer / Pantoxy 134 Primer / Payntoxy EM Primer
Wood surface primer: Heavy Duty MP Primer / Pantoxy 134 Primer

Safety, Health and Environment
During painting, make sure no source of ignition at surrounding and no smoking. Always remember to use protective equipment especially eye-goggles and a face mask to cover the mouth and nose. Remember to ensure adequate ventilation in rooms you are painting – open windows and doors wherever possible. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical treatment. To remove splashes of paint from skin, use suitable cleanser or soap and water. When not in use, store paint in cool and shaded place and do not directly expose sunlight. Do not dispose paint into drains or watercourses. Wash your hands after use.
